Great pizza! The Italian Beef is on point and does not disappoint. Giardinera is flavorful with a bit of spice. Don't forget to save room for dessert. The cannoli is good for those craving something sweet. Can't wait to try all the Italian goodies on the menu.

We stopped in here hungry and left happy and stuffed. Pizza was perfectly done. The crust was just the right amount of crispy and chewy. Toppings were plentiful. Staff was helpful and service was fast. Thanks for an amazing pizza!

Came from the volcano back to Hilo to wait for the rain to stop, have a rest, and some dinner. It was pretty late in the evening so there was few other places open but the reviews and photos looked good and I was feeling pizza so we went. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed to be there, staff were happy and helpful, and the food came pretty quick. We ate while driving back to the volcano and wow was it delicious. Absolutely fantastic, everything was perfect.

I was not sure what to expect from a little pizza joint in Hilo located in an unassuming strip mall but do not let the humble location fool you, this place is DAMN GOOD! We had the Italian Special pizza and the ingredients were so fresh and delicious! The seasoning was incredible, the dough was perfectly cooked from crust to tip! Do not skip this place! The next best pizza is thousands of miles away.

Absolutely the best pizza on the island! Coming from New England & been living on the island for years, I haven’t found a more authentic, delicious pizza place than Hilo Pizza Company! Really so grateful for this place & especially appreciate their kind manager, staff & excellent customer service! My daughter loves the cheese pizza, & I haven’t found one I don’t like! Especially the Italian special or Kalua... always ONO!! mahalo HPC!

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I rolled into the Hilo Pizza Company about an hour before closing time on a Wednesday night after some local exploring.. The kiddos sampled the Italian Special on a 12" gluten-free crust, and the wife and I each had 6" calzones stuffed with mozzarella, pepperoni, and prosciutto.. There were a couple of locals there when we arrived, so we knew we had chosen well.. The owner was working the counter (gathered from listening to some conversation), which is another good sign.. The kids were delighted with their pie and remarked that the GF crust was very tasty compared to many other GF pizza crusts they've experienced previously.. The pizza itself presented very well, and the toppings were spread evenly across the surface.. Our calzones were amply stuffed with the aforementioned cheese and meats, and both were quite tasty!! I apologize for the lack of photos for those.. The only thing I might recommend is for the owner to offer a 12" standard crust.. The wife and I were craving pizza versus calzones, and having a smaller, standard dough/crust option would have been our preference.. Otherwise, we were delighted with our experience.. Anywho, if you are a local to Hawai'i or visitors like us, the Hilo Pizza Company is a great choice!!

Best pizza as far as authenticity I've had on this island so far. Hands down great pizza and leans more toward Italian-made. The toppings reflect the way they make them in Italy. Definitely used to more toppings but you cannot beat it as far as quality ingredients goes. The interior is also really thoughtful but not over the top. The staff was excellent even with only 2 employees and they had customers while i was there. Both staff members were extremely polite and hospitable the speed of service was also pretty quick. The price isn't too bad and they have affordable options. If I was to say a few things I'd do differently is adding other specialty drinks other than soft drinks and beer. The menu board was really nice maybe having pictures of the items might help people better decide. Also the first thing I noticed was there was not pasta but they do specialize in pizza. I haven't tried everything yet but I will definitely be adding more things from the menu to my list of things to try next.

Their large pizza isn't just delicious; it's more than one and a half times the size of chain store pizzas and comes at a fraction of the price, saving you anywhere from 3 to 15! And don't even get me started on their calzones--my favorite is the Reuben. Treat yourself and your family to the quality and value that Hilo Pizza Co. delivers. You won't be disappointed! I did the math on this place. See that size difference in my photos! The pizza chains only compete with themselves. They can't get anywhere near the size & flavor of Hilo Pizza Co.
